Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
Platelets are a naturally occurring component of your own blood and play an important role in wound healing and tissue regeneration. Platelet Rich Plasma [PRP] therapy is the process of isolating platelets from the blood and concentrating these platelets to much higher levels than normal, through the process of Centrifugation. The result is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
Dr. Safari will take your blood at the clinic. The blood will be seperated into platelet-rich plasma and red blood cells. Platelets consist of granules that store multiple growth factors that can be used for regeneration.
The treatment area will be numbed with local anesthetic before the concentrate platelet-rich plasma is injected. The procedue takes about an hour.
The treatment cost $1950, 3 treatments at $650.
PRP can not be used if you have had cancer treatment or are taking blood thiners.
